They lost by double figures.

Without a doubt, that was the worst NBA game I've ever seen.

Next up for us... the Nuggets! YES!!!

....oh good lord.

I only want to go to the game on Wednesday to talk to the announcers in person. That is my only motivation.

Pat led the passing with 7 assists, and his usual steady defensive play held the opposing first squad to no double-digit point getters. He was heard running down the court screaming "If I can't score, you won't either!"

There's a 50% chance of getting either live or die. Obviously you're more likely to die, but if there are two options there is a 50% chance of getting either. -SH

Re: NBA

Ian Eagle is probably one of the best announcers in the NBA, and an honest Nets fan. He sounded absolutely dejected after the third quarter.

Gerald Wallace is awesome. 24pts/20reb/4stl...Nice statline - Led his team to a win.

Dude... any of your CR players could have racked up stats like his against the Nets today. The Nets should be relegated to the D-League... but we'd more than struggle there too.

MNFL - You're right. Ian is outstanding (despite his inability to correctly pronounce his own name). I can see why Marv and Mike wanted less Nets games this season though....

Re: NBA

I love following Rookies - and recent rookies. I think it's exceptionally interesting to see how the whole Brandon Jennings Europtrip rather than College worked out. Even though he didn't do much in Europle - It appears he is adapting quicker to the speed etc and the strength needed. That isn't saying that he's ROY or anything. But for these first few games, he certainly looks very very very good.

On other rookies - I was crushed when the Clippers won the lottery - I just knew Blake Griffin's career (or first 3 years at least) is going to be bumpy. Hasheem Thabeet has a real oppourtunity in Memphis to develop well and get some gametime - I really want him to do well. OJ Mayo, for example, seems to have grown very well in Memphis with the game time he has got. This is only his 2nd year and he's dropping 40 point games. No matter who you play or what team you're on - That's impressive for me.

As I've mentioned before - Minnesota is a team I now like to watch because of Jonny Flynn and Wayne Ellington - That has to be the best 1-2 rookie punch in the league this season. I'd like to see those players develop with gametime - I can see Flynn becoming a top 10 point guard in the league. Probably not a consistent all-star, but I can see him getting like 3 All-Star games and being a PG that is really solid. This is the first step there. Again, as I've mentioned earlier with my very first post - about OKC - I really like that team and how they work - I think any rooke going there (that fitted in) would be successful and I really think James Harden can be very very solid and become one of the many core young players in the Thunder that will lead them to being a solid playoff team in just a few years.

Jeff Prendergraph is looking fairly solid - He could be this years "Courtney Lee" - Selected low, not that much expected of him but he does really well. Maybe not to the same degree as Lee (as he had some great starts and was a real part of the core etc). DeMar DeRozan seems like he could be good, but...ehh, I'm not that sold on him to be honest - but Toronto isn't the worst place he could be.

I think

So true. I love seeing guys who were skipped on do really well. That's why I like Darrell Arthur and Mario Chalmers...And from this year - DeJuan Blair.

Re: NBA

I think it is a lil too early to really evaluate the steal of the draft. Right now though, I would say it is the Bucks picking up Jennings...

Rockets are playing well considering. This will be great for the development of some of the second tier players, so if they can get Ming back, either a healthy McGrady or replacement, plus turning a draft pick and a role player or two into another good player they will be a tough team. I would like to see Anderson get a lil more game time though...

It looks that way so far, but i doubt he'll be that in 3 years. His knees will probably not hold up for long and there are some sleepers in this draft.

I think this draft was really deep

Btw. i think it's funny how a lot of posters already write Thabeet off as a bust (i.e. Thabust), but there is plenty of time for him to develope and his athleticism is unquestioned. Marc Gasol is also a great center (top 8 already maybe?), so Hasheem will have to fight to get any PT. I think he will be a gem.

Me and MNFL. Let's go Nets! tongue

To be honest, it's super early to predict anything using this season. If I had to guess, Cavs storm to the finals on LeBron's (kid is ridiculous) back again vs. an emerging Western League Team (Denver?)

How about Rondo pulls his head in before some punches him out. He thinks he is the shit when really he is only good because of Allen, Pierce and KG. If he was on the Horents he wouldn't do anything like what CP3 has accomplished so far.

Re: NBA

People always trash talk when playing well any type of sport. I don't agree with Rondo telling CP3 that he will never win a championship but CP3 shouldn't let stuff like that get to him.

Yeah but Rondo isn't and All-Star or Olympic gold medal winner.

He should just shut his face
