its trash talk. is he suppose to say true things, or encourage paul? I think it's funny rondo told him he would have the same stat line if he was always shooting too, and that he has a ring and paul never will. obviously both are crazy statements, the first being no where close to true, but it exposed chris paul's mental weakness.

I have to agree wit you. This situation really shows CP3 lets things get to him.

Heh... Rondo's a Celtic.  What do you expect?  And I can guarantee you one thing: Rondo won't say a word to Ron Artest.

You're not trying to say there is something wrong with what rondo did are you?

oh, okay. I completely agree. being with 3 hall of famers, (especially KG) will do that too you. He isn't near chris pauls level but if he gets into his head he can play with him.

Re: NBA

Chris Paul still had 22/8... not sure how much it really impacted his performance... Rondo had 6/10 with 4 TO's and 4 fouls

Re: NBA

I know most of you guys are going to disagree with me. Rondo is much of a put the team first pg. He sets up people and I think this guy is one of the main reasons the Celtics have been successful. CP3 is much of a scorer pg but he can't help that because he really don't have anybody on the team. IMO I think Rondo and CP3 is one of the elite pg's in the NBA.

No, they've been successful because they've had three of the best players of the generation on the team.

Pat led the passing with 7 assists, and his usual steady defensive play held the opposing first squad to no double-digit point getters. He was heard running down the court screaming "If I can't score, you won't either!"

Re: NBA

I think it's cool that for the Lakers/Thunder game today, in the +/- catergory...

- Lakers Starters were all +
- Lakers Bench were all -
- Thunder Starters were all -
- Thunder Bench were all +

Plus Durant had another cold shooting night - Disappointing.

Re: NBA

Lakers bench = 6pts

That won't cut it.  Bench has been pathetic this season.  Farmar is back to his "I look good in preseason, but truck you when season starts" and the haircut didn't do shit for Sasha.  DJ is pretty much a non-presence on offense, and a foul magnet on defense.  Powell is just...out of it.  I like Shannon's energy, I want more results, but he's ahead of Jordan and Sasha for me.

Ron is still getting used to the system, you can tell.  But his play this 4th Q was great on defense and on offense.

Lamar is still fuckin Odumb this season.  Consistency has always been his problem...still is.

I cannot wait to see Pau back, that man was consistent night in and night out.  He won't be there for tomorrow's game against Houston, but they said most likely for the game after that.

Thunder has been a team I love to follow cause of the talent that team has, now look at this season and how their defense is.  Just a great team with a bright future.

Re: NBA

As some of you may have realised - I am a big adcovate of the Thunder. I think it's really impressive how they competed with the Lakers even though their star player was 0-8 from the 3pt line.

I had pretty decent tickets to the game tonight but couldn't go because my daughter was sick with the flu sad

This is my point more than the HoF thingy.

Their star player was icky tonight because Ron Artest was starting to play well (I watched the game on and off... but Artest was guarding Durant, right?).

This too, is true.  Is there a person playing in the NBA that would?

Sidenote: I'm still unconvinced that PP is a HoFer....

Re: NBA

HoF'er is a phrase that gets used way too much. I heard Rasheed called one the other day. Has he done something amazing i'm not aware of? I never really rated him that highly to be truthful.

Re: NBA

Definitely agree. The whole HoF thing gets used far too much. I definitely would not consider Sheed to be in that category right now... and I'm a Blazers fan from way back. The only way I see Sheed perhaps getting consideration is if he takes out a couple more titles. And I say, perhaps.

He was the anchor of the best defensive team of the decade, and the a top post defender of the generation?

Ehh, I don't know if that equals HoF status. Yeah, he's a great defender - so is Bruce Bowen. He won championships.
