Theres not many good shooting centers and they wont hurt us enough to change the game anyways.

Cavs need to figure out a way to beat teams that have good transitional games, because their big men are slowwwwwwwwwwwwww.

Z-Bo, AI, and a project draft pick do not make a team better.

Pat led the passing with 7 assists, and his usual steady defensive play held the opposing first squad to no double-digit point getters. He was heard running down the court screaming "If I can't score, you won't either!"

There's a 50% chance of getting either live or die. Obviously you're more likely to die, but if there are two options there is a 50% chance of getting either. -SH

Re: NBA

I'd like to say I was joking, but I totally mixed up Minnesota and Memphis. I thought Memphis had Kevin Love, Rudy Gay and O.J. Mayo with a few other guys and THEY signed AI. But Love and Mayo are on the Wolves, Gay and A.I. are on Memphis and both teams are 1-5. http://i.cr3ation.co.uk/dl/s1/gif/8576.psyduck.gif http://i.cr3ation.co.uk/dl/s1/gif/8577.facepalm.gif

Oh well, at leas the Sixers roster is nice. I really like the signing of Ron Artest, he should add a whole new dimension to the team.

Tell me: what have you seen thus far that makes you think the Cavs are going to be better than Boston/Orlando?

Last year, the Magic started off 0-2 (and 4-3 after seven games), including a loss to Memphis (24 wins on the year). At that point, what were THEY showing to suggest they'd be better than Boston/Cleveland in the playoffs?

Exactly.

Ask me to play.I'll play. Ask me to shoot. I'll shoot. Ask me to pass. I'll pass. Ask me to steal, blockout, sacrifice, lead, dominate. ANYTHING. But it's not what you ask of me. It's what I ask of myself. LeBron The greatest thing a man can do in this world is to make the most out of the stuff that has been given him. This is success, and there is no other.

Exactly.

And 15-5 after 20.  But sheesh Turtle... pretty amazing assertion.  You're telling me that because the Magic ended up being fine last season, the same will apply to Cleveland?  They've already lost double the amount of games at the Q than they did last season.

My initial statement (the one that *upset* KingJames - surprising, given his pseudonym, huh?):

malice wrote:

Really?
I've seen nothing particularly good thus far... and now that Kuester's gone?  Brown's screwing it RIGHT up!

Therein lies the crux of the matter.  You could add Ferry, and what must be his growing desperation.
Cleveland look SLOW as hell out there, and watch a game: it's painfully obvious that Brown's 'coaching' (I hesitate to use the term) amounts to "get the ball to LeBron".
Orlando at the same time had 2 very high quality jump-shooting forwards, Jameer Nelson... and of course, Dwight Howard.  Their roster was/is quite a bit better than Cleveland's... with one notable exception.
Are you really stating that Mo Williams, Shaq, Z, Floppsy, Delonte West and Anthony Parker equate to what Orlando roll out?

And given you took exception to my comment, I'll pose it one more time:
Tell me: what have you seen thus far that makes you think the Cavs are going to be better than Boston/Orlando?
Because simply telling me that Orlando had a similar win/loss ratio that everything's going to be ok in Cleveland?  Bit of a reach, right?

Re: NBA

The "Home Game" record was insane and was NOT going to be replicated. I think it's dumb to base your judgments off the first few games of the year, but if they're, say, 11-9 or something it might be time to worry.

Ummm... Hugo?  No-one stated that it would be.  The point was that whilst they lost there only once last year, in 7 games they've already lost their twice.  There's a bit of a difference there.

Anyway, 'twasn't me who was me who brought up the win/loss column, my point is that I don't think they're playing well, and Mike Brown appears way out of his depth with the absence of Kuester.
How many Cavs games have you watched Hugo?  I've watched 3.  Not as many as they've played, granted.  But they look sluggish out there.  And when Shaq looked slow, what was Brown's answer?  Put Z out there as well.
They don't look as good.
I'll reiterate the question to you too then:  what have you seen thus far that makes you think the Cavs are going to be better than Boston/Orlando?

From my perspective, the only thing I can point to is the presence of LeBron James.
