Question for you captains out there (and co-captains).

Answer any of these if you like, I am curious:

1.  How much time on average do you spend preparing for a regular season game?  This includes specific scouting, sliders changes, TSPs, etc.

2.  How often do you try for a specific match up in a game?  Examples would be flipping your lines purposely, or bringing a player like a blocker to a different line for a specific purpose.

3.  How often do you simply not do anything at all for a regular season game?  This means no adjustments or checking of any type (including not changing TSPs) between games.

1. about 1.5 - 2 minutes a night

2. every once in a while or when I'm bored

3. once a season at most

Re: Question for you captains out there (and co-captains).

1. 10-15 minutes (checking and re-checking balance and totals via the team script accounting for most of it).

2. Whenever necessary, seems to be daily these days!

3. Never.

Re: Question for you captains out there (and co-captains).

Thanks for the responses guys.  I always wondered about stuff like that.  I did #2 more often (haha) when my lines were very different, but lately they are so similar that it doesn't really matter (plus I am much more lazy).

1. 1 minute

2. Maybe half the time, but I'm just trying something out usually. (My lines don't match eachother ever)

3. I usually set TSPs 35+ times per season. Usually because I don't feel the need to use the extra TSP or because we're playing a Pro C or lower team.

Re: Question for you captains out there (and co-captains).

Yeah, I chose the route of being more unorthodox thus harder to game plan against. But for that am paying the price of seemingly daily headaches on how to game plan against opponents! Never again. Mirroring units are the way to go. Can't be "e-bayed" and can just set it and forget it... well, kind of.

Re: Question for you captains out there (and co-captains).

1.  15 to 20 minutes (most of it is analyzing and recording the prior game.

2.  Maybe 2 or 3 times a season.  Work schedule really doesn't support ebaying, but some of our better wins have been when our opponent ebayed and we didn't counter.

3.  Never.  If I'm really in a time crunch, I'll ask the co-captain to cover for me.

Re: Question for you captains out there (and co-captains).

I don't necessarily mean to ebay at #2, I just mean putting your line A on their line B for a specific strategic reason (it could be done 20 hours before the game for instance).

Re: Question for you captains out there (and co-captains).

1. 5 minutes (4 minutes: Me and captain will talk about where to spend our TSP and 1 minute: Setting of TSP)

2. Sometimes, during an easy matchup. (For stat purposes) big_smile

3. Sometimes if me and my captain are too busy.

Re: Question for you captains out there (and co-captains).

1. about 2 mins per team (which in my case, adds up to like 20mins)

2. Never

3. I set TSP every day right before I sleep.  So if I'm sleeping that night, the TSP will have been set.

These questions are setup to make a longer roster lock.

I vote Nay.  Grow some balls.

Re: Question for you captains out there (and co-captains).

They aren't actually, but based on a discussion in Jordan I was wondering if people spent a lot of time preparing for each game or switching things around that often.
