Congrats Magic Johnsons, good luck in the final 4!
I really appreciate that because I know how much losses like that suck.

Who would've guessed TMJ but not MR would make the final four. CR Vets can't get across the line for the third season in stow, and the prohibitive favourite Old West eliminated. Good to see some drama.
I didn't see either of my teams making it, but I wouldn't have guessed the Johnsons would in a million years. Guess it just goes to show how random this thing really is.

FINAL FOUR PREVIEW
Old School All-Stars vs. The Magic Johnsons
The Old School All-Stars have been a streaky team this season, but fortunately for them, they enter on one of their hot streaks, having won 9 of their last 10. Their strong run in the late season has pushed them from a middle of the pack team to a top 5 contender. They earned their Final Four berth by beating Animal House from start to finish en route to a solid 15-point win, led by star scorer Rocko's Modern Life with 36.
One to watch: I Am Weasel. Weasel is one of the top defenders in the game and a front runner for defensive player of the year. While he does not have much to offer on the offensive side of the ball, he will be everywhere all at once on defense, whether it's rebounding, blocking, or stealing the ball. In the game against Animal House, he had 14 rebounds, 5 steals, and 2 blocks.
The Magic Johnsons enter the game having hovered around a 0.500 record for the entire season, with their record being bolstered by the 5-game winning streak they enter on. While three of those wins were against low-level teams, the win against LoL late in the regular season showed their worth. In the Elite Eight, the Johnsons pulled the stunner of the tournament by holding on to defeat the #1 overall seed and championship favorite Old West despite lead scorer Lyndon B. Johnson struggling to find his shot.
One to watch: Gary Johnson. Overlooked in the 2012 US Presidential race, overlooked in the Season 44 West League Playoffs, Gary was a major factor in the team's shocking Elite Eight win, dominating the paint with 22 rebounds and 4 blocks. The Johnsons will need a similar contribution from him today if they hope to play for the title.
The Old School All-Stars are 2-2 against the Johnsons, but they have not met in almost 3 weeks. The All-Stars have overall looked like the better team all season and the Johnsons are a Cinderella team who no one expected to even make it this far. Based on their body work, the Johnsons' win last night, as impressive as it was, seems to be a fluke and they will be in a similar underdog position in today's game.
PICK: Old School All-Stars by 8
LoL vs. Go Go NFL Mascots Go
LoL played like one of the league's top teams for most of the season before an odd 5-game losing streak late in the season. They ended this skid with a convincing win over Pimpolgy2 and they hope that win will propel them to playoff success. LoL has the best offense in the league and will look to engage their opponent in a shootout. In the Elite Eight, LoL recovered from a double digit halftime deficit to defeat the CR Veterans with three players scoring 21 or more points.
One to Watch: Lux. Lux has been mentioned as an MVP candidate and rightfully so as the best scoring point guard in the game, with a 20-5 line that is only challenged by teammate Nidalee. Lux will be expected to score 20 and set up her teammates all throughout the game for easy scores. Lux had a great performance in the Elite Eight, scoring 21 points and just missing out on a double-double with 9 assists.
Go Go NFL Mascots Go are a team that has come on strong in the late season, entering tonight's game on a 8-game winning streak, and all of these wins came by double digit margins besides the Elite Eight win over the Manchester Rain. They were easily the most impressive team in the Sweet Sixteen round, beating Team Wafu by 50 points, and they finished their Elite Eight match with a strong 4th quarter to defeat the #1 seeded Rain.
One to watch: Pick Axe. Axe has been a dominant player in two aspects of the game, rebounding and blocking. Axe has been a dominant player in the interior all season long and enters on an astounding 5-game streak having 20+ rebounds and 8+ blocks. In the Elite Eight win, Pick Axe outshone MVP candidate Gem Archer with a 6-point, 8-block, and 22-rebound performance.
The two teams have only met once this season, with LoL winning the early season matchup. LoL looked to be the better team for most of the season, but the Mascots enter as one of the hottest teams in the league while LoL looked cold at times during the late regular season. Both teams had star scorers struggle in the Elite Eight, with LoL's star point guard being held to 11 points, well below her season average of 20, and the Mascots' Bird Brain being oddly held to single digits after averaging 24.5 on the season. Whichever one of these stars has the better recovery will likely determine the winner today.
Pick: Mascots by 2

Oh sweet....didn't set TSP, cause my meeting ran late this morning. Ugh.

Freedom going HAM, but LoL holding onto a slight edge. This is going to go down to the wire.
Offline
I'm freaking nervous lol
Offline
You're telling me. Actually my TSP from CRV aren't too far off what I would have done for Mascots, so if they get the W I won't try to take anything away from them
Offline
I would have actually reduced ..Boltmans passing/BH a bit, but that's about it. And obviously used the 1 extra TSP
Offline
Bah, lead down to 10 points! LETS GO!
Offline
Phew! Looking safe now. Up 16 with just under 4 to go.

GG LoL.

GG OSAS, Rocko did everything he could for sure. Very surprised that the Johnsons somehow are in the finals, we'll probably lose by 20 to LoL but it's nice to get this far.
Offline
Best of luck LoL, I really want to win but I'm happy to just get this far. There would be no shame in losing to the defending champions.
Offline
So far so bad. down by 10 :-(
Offline
I think that's just about it. Down 15 now with 10 left. Had closed it to 6 but TMJ pulled right back ahead. Congrats man!
Offline
I've seen much bigger comebacks, far too early to say it's over.
Offline
See, the gap is already down to 7 with over 6 minutes left.
Offline
agreed too early.... but going tmj by 5

We're allergic to the basket... this isn't looking good.

That was WAY too dramatic... great game LoL! I really thought you would hit a 3 when you got the ball back with 20 seconds left.
