Whilst that is an incredible amount of points - very impressive, I'm not entirely sure that you losing equates to "the sim is broken".

no but stat distribution is, and my guess what happened with that is this...

When kazz originally created the game he didn't have to worry about players stats being decided by anything but pre-adjusted attributes b/c there was no player chems or skills. But when skills and chems came out, kazz must have never updated it.

and this brings up a good question, will kazz fix it? or will this error continue to happen for those players who shift there main attribute?

FastAsATurtle also brought up another very good pt to me.
Not only did we get 120,000 but we didn't without any preparation the season before. Infact half the team switched roles.I guess gym ratting last season sort of helped but it would of been better if we would of trained our current main attribute up more.

Fair point (on stat distribution), even so - "broken" is a word I wouldn't use.  And it's not really the reason you lost either - according to what you're asserting (unless I'm misreading you!), the points deciding result are working... but the distribution of stats aren't working as they should.

I'd guess their selection of team chems >> yours.  And I'd hazard a further guess that due to working so hard on player chems, you neglected (at least somewhat) your team chems.  Would that be a fair thing to say?

1st part, correct. It has nothing, nothing to do with team success. It just effects player stats, thx for making that clear.

and the last part, actually no. We had almost all of them(partially due to the balance the season before). We used transition game, looking back at it i think we should of used shooting clinic.

I think Transition Game is the most highly overrated team chem in the game... but that's a different conversation entirely!

Interesting. Unless TSS spent a lot of sp on Gym Rat, they are as good as, or better than, DF. So, if this represents your chem and skill levels for your last game against us, then I don't see it as that big of an upset, considering TSS is probably better (right now) than we were for that game.

we actually got a lvl 6(leadership guys), the day after we played you.

yea, and this brings up another pt aswell. Do those chems do what they do for a fact? i saw Camel make a post about how he assumed it was or something so i'm wondering if the gospel is even right with the team chems either. i agree though, different conversation

What's posted in the gospel is correct. What is not posted in there is level 2/3/4 team chem values, and they're what we just don't know about.

If you know what chems you used for that game it could help too, but that can wait. At least we will have something interesting to talk about during Endurance training.

Re: The Manilla tell all story :)

Same here. But assuming you guys kept notes, we should be able to get a good picture of what the teams looked like at the time. I don't think we will crack the sim, but we could get a better idea of how it works.

Re: The Manilla tell all story :)

TSS went gym rat for 2 guys..the leadership guys....no one else did GR

I'm not sure if the pic in the 1st post is what you had for your team for our game. Some stats I deem as completely useless and we had practically 0 in them.....some others we had comfortably more than you guys (the ones I felt were more important)

I realise losing is fucked.

Having said that....i'm glad it was your team and not mine. I am proud of what we accomplished as a team.

cheers

just simply amazing how clever and perfectly executed this plan was...so many sim points and a 2nd round exit leaves me questioning why

Same here. Our teams seem very similar, except we went with defense over blocking and 2 shooters instead of a shooter and dunker. You guys are ahead of us on TP, but not by a lot.

it took 3 seasons with the skill tree for anyone to think of their strategy...

No one was shooting for lvl 7 chems 3 seasons ago, though.

What strategy are you talking about?  If it's using other skills and employing the sliders - there are more than just MG doing that.  And some have been doing it for more than 1 season...

I might be missing something, but I'm not sure what you're referring to.
Going for L7 player chems is ballsy indeed.  But that's predicated on where your player starts as much as anything.  Additionally, I'd guess that's what contributed to their downfall.

Re: The Manilla tell all story :)

Just looking at the slider settings, I can see some things I would change. I also think relying on the ball-handling-diverted-into-3-pointers doesn't work as well as you'd think, we tried it before too.

Re: The Manilla tell all story :)

I completely agree with MG's frustruation - I've tried to discuss it recently but only have received some "ill" responses... I hope this allows some people to seriously look at whats going on here smile

Re: The Manilla tell all story :)

Did manilla get a full set of breakers / stoppers?

If not and TSS did.. then they are worth about 20-30k (or more) sim value which is way overpowered imo.
