Last night I went to the Heat vs Hornets game at the Sprint Center here in Kansas City. It was awesome, and, they are my 2 favorite teams which was cool. My seats were in the first row of the upper deck.

I find NBA games extremely boring, especially when compared to highschool or college games.

this is quite true. NBA only gives celebrities.
I been to my high school games and many G-town Hoyas' games.

I think this too, and I wonder why. Is it because the season is so long and the players don't always go full effort? Or is it because they are so good they make it seem effortless? I was always a basketball purist (played for an old school coach in highschool), and I can't stand to watch the 1 on 1 style game. Thing is, they are so good they don't have to take quality shots to score.

I haven't been to a high school game since I graduated, but I was at most of Seton Hall's games last year. #1 Pitt, #1 UConn, #17 Nova, and #14 Georgetown all at home. Surprisingly all very good games, and in combination with a handful of good transfers, I'm very excited for this season.

I hope Keon Lawrence does good for Seton Hall this season. He was my favorite player for Mizzou before he transfered.

yeah I agree partly, but some of the plays are just great. Like last night Dwyane Wade made a 3 from the corner with a man on him. I thought that was simply amazing

It's not that which bothers me. It's the lack of excitement in between those types of plays, and typically the down time between is very long. College and HS tend to just have lower scoring games all around when you get two decently even teams, leading to every possession making a difference. (Yes I know people are going to say that happens in the NBA too, but it's just not true until the last minutes of the 4th quarter.)

My first and the last NBA game I went to was back in February of 2000, I believe. Sixers versus somebody. Got a free Aaron McKie jersey...a blue one. Wore a Sixers hat. As I recall it was awesome, though I literally remember nothing but entering the arena.

I like watching games at home.
No drunks. I can watch games shirtless...cause I'm at home shirtless in shorts all the time. Easy to access a restroom. Free food. Better views. Interviews. Cool NBA facts and stuff.
I dunno, personal preference.

Only times watching sport on tv beats watching it live are:
1) Outdoor game and the weather sucks. Not a huge issue, but sometimes u just cbf going to the game if u can watch it while staying warm and dry at home.
2) Too tired to go to a game...
3) Long sports such as cricket and car racing are often more enjoyable at home. Cos you can channel surf/have a break etc. Although they can still make an enjoyable day out.
That said, lately I haven't been bothering with many live AFL games. It is costly and can be a bit of a hassle. I would prefer to watch local football, where the quality is still high and its much cheaper. Easier to get to/from and AAMI stadium is a concrete shit hole.
But if I do ever go to the USA I will try and go to a few live basketball and NFL games. Maybe baseball as well... Plus a boxing match at MSG would be pretty cool.
