I've never understood why anyone would play a FPS game with a controller.  FPS were made to be experienced with a mouse.

The lack of dedicated servers is disturbing....However, even for games with dedicated servers on the PC, a huge number of individual servers pop up.  Mostly because people want to have control over the environment.  I've noticed that COD4's number of private servers is really quite extensive.  I still think companies ought to provide some in order to have some control over what is deemed to be the "pure" experience, but I imagine there will be plenty of private servers around before too long.

Very true, and the slew of other issues. Nicely summarized by this chart:

Sad to see Infinity Ward, a company that has been supported by and started out in the PC market, backstabbing the people that made them such a successful developer. But the money lies on consoles, where people buy games for more money and spend cash on DLC.

Re: Modern Warfare 2.

LAN play is Yes for both, but red for MW2

Pat led the passing with 7 assists, and his usual steady defensive play held the opposing first squad to no double-digit point getters. He was heard running down the court screaming "If I can't score, you won't either!"

There's a 50% chance of getting either live or die. Obviously you're more likely to die, but if there are two options there is a 50% chance of getting either. -SH

Great storyline. I beat it Sunday night, and it was a good one. Definitely something to sit and pay attention to.

Other than the change to the class system, online plays the same exact way as the first one. New maps and weapons, but the same style of play.

Re: Modern Warfare 2.

This is the first call of duty I've ever played. I dont get what those icons are on the right, when it begins. Are they power ups that automatically happeb or do you have to do something? People take this game way to serious too.

Re: Modern Warfare 2.

Those are "perks" the multiplayer character you are using has.  They are mostly passive traits.  Once you "gain some xp" you'll be able to create your own characters and assign traits.

Re: Modern Warfare 2.

Just beat the campaign. I liked the ending but I think they should of continued a little longer, like Price giving another little speech.

I liked the story at first, but getting towards the end there were too many plot twists and holes in the story. But it's okay, I love the MP.

Re: Modern Warfare 2.

My only question is what happened 7 years ago with 30K men?  Since this game is 5 years after MW1 it isn't anything there, am I forgetting some big thing they talked about in 1?

Re: Modern Warfare 2.

To my knowledge, it's not an event that has ever been explained in the game.

Re: Modern Warfare 2.

Didn't think so, just figured it would be explained in the next in the series.

*SPOILER*
As I was talking to someone yesterday about it, if you look at the entire campaign, you got nothing accomplished that you wanted to at the begining :'P
