Thing that jumps out at me: The author thinks it's wrong to be gay.
There's a 50% chance of getting either live or die. Obviously you're more likely to die, but if there are two options there is a 50% chance of getting either. -SH

I know this is a necro-bump. I'm sorry. I was talking to someone about terrifying kids books today and it triggered a memory of this. I feel that a lot of the newer members have missed on it. So, voila.

I never saw this thread.
Though I'm pretty sure the author is narrow-minded, he poses some interesting theories. We still really don't KNOW why some people are gay. I believe that some are just born that way, but I bet that a good amount of gay people started being gay from situations like this book.
